A walk with Palladio and Art palaces
Guided walking tours to discover deeply Vicenza city centre
The guided tours 2012 offer two different walking tours to discover deeply Vicenza city centre: on Saturday afternoon “A wilk with Palladio” and on Sunday morning “Art palaces”.
The first one is dedicated to the main palladian buildings located in the old town and recognized by the UNESCO as “unicum”: in fact in 1994 Vicenza city was included in the Unesco Human Heritage List and in 1996 the villas by Andrea Palladio too.
The Sunday morning tour “Art palaces” is a novelty: it starts with the visit to the baroque Leoni Montanari Palace, then the Palazzo del Monte di Pietà and the Bishop’s Palace. The tour ends with the visit of the Teatro Olimpico, for people who have not taken part in Saturday tour.
The initiative is promoted by the Provincia di Vicenza in cooperation with Regione Veneto and Comune di Vicenza, thanks to the organization of Consortium Vicenza è and Avit Travel Agency.
